A vision condition that often allows distant objects to be seen clearly but near vision is blurry. The eyeball is too short or the cornea has too little curvature to focus light precisely on the back of the eye. Close vision is affected as well as distance in some cases. The eye requires extra effort to see up close.
- eye strain,
- difficulty concentrating,
- intermittent blurred vision
Hypermetropia can be corrected with spectacles, contact lenses, or other refractive procedures.
